DURING MY FIRST SHOOT

This one gets put into the momma always said category! Tomas was recommended to us by a friend who had seen him in the local rentboy scene and he suggested to Tomas that he should contact us. He showed up late one night and with a bulky shirt he looks amazing! His face really is killer in person, the kind of cute, masculine beauty we are always looking for. He took his shirt off and was a little chubby, but we figured that face alone deserved to be photographed.

We had arranged to shoot him two days later, to start around noon. He called at 10:00 that morning to tell us he was in Pribram (about an hour south of Prague) and had no way to get here. We decided to just drive down there and find a nice spot in the area to do the shoot. On our way there we stopped at a gas station to get something to drink and there was a 20 year old student hanging around who asked us if he could hitch a ride with us. He wasn't cute enough for a photo shoot, but we helped him out anyway :-))

I'm sure he regretted that decision though because about 20 kilometers after we left the station we got a flat tire. As we tried to repair it, we found out that our jack was broken and it took us another 20 minutes of trying to get someone to stop to help us on the highway before someone finally did :-( We got under way and dropped the kid off at the town he was going to and finally met up with Tomas in Pribram. Pribram is a beautiful small town, as are so many of the little towns and villages in this country, loaded with trees, very old homes and wonderful people.

Tomas didn't have a mobile phone so we had no way to let him know about the troubles on the road - he was incredibly happy to see us because he thought he might have been waiting there all that time for nothing... Everything with the shoot went well, but it being Tomas's first ever photographic or video work he was pretty nervous. So many of our models are nervous since so many of them do their work with us for the very first time (and so many of them, the only time). But as usual we put him at ease with some jokes and he felt great in no time. As we were leaving the woods where we did the shoot, the car drove over a big boulder and got stuck!! Everybody had to get out of the car and actually lift the car off that damn rock.... Luckily Tomas has those extra pounds that made all the difference :-))
